The exhibition, which can be visited until May 3, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., thanks to the support of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality (today, Ministry of Health, Consumer Affairs and Social Welfare). On the other hand, the San Juan de Dios Hospital of Santurtzi has participated since 2013 in the network of receiving entities that collaborate with the Food Bank, being a distribution point to needy families in an area of the town of Santurtzi, assigned by the City Council of the town sardinera. In 2017, it distributed more than 15 tons of food to 88 families.

The executive responsibility for the adequate development falls on the Quality Manager, who has the necessary authority delegated by the Management Committee of the Santurtzi Hospital of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God.

The inauguration was preceded by the celebration, in the hospital chapel, of a mass for the feast of St. John of God, presided by the Bishop of Bilbao. At its end, the inauguration of the Solidarity Craft Market took place. Mario Iceta began his speech by recalling the testimony of the brothers and collaborators of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God who lost their lives in Africa as a result of the Ebola virus.
The Solidarity Craft Market is located in the auditorium of the Hospital San Juan de Dios de Santurtzi (Avda. Murrieta, 70), and will remain open until March 29. Its opening hours are, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 19:00 hours. Visits are free of charge.
Of this amount, more than 122,000 euros have been obtained thanks to the generosity of the collaborators of the Solidarity Artisan Market. The rest of the aid sent to New Kru Town comes from contributions from the San Juan de Dios Hospital itself, from the San Jorge Parish of Santurtzi and from donations obtained by the workers of the Santurtzi center.
